My plumbing fixtures are pretty old. Will Plumbing Protection Plan cover repairs?
All equipment and systems covered by the Plumbing Protection Plan must meet Code requirements, be reasonably clean and safely accessible, and in good operating condition at the time coverage begins. The Plan reserves the right to have an on-site inspection of the equipment. (Please see the Terms & Conditions for full details.)

My plumbing systems are fairly new. Why would I need the Plumbing Protection Plan?
New or old, plumbing failures can occur at any time and repairs can cost hundreds, even thousands of dollars. With the Plumbing Protection Plan, you will be spared the worry of who to call for repairs and the burden of unexpected repair bills.

+
How am I billed for Plumbing Protection Plan?
Your monthly or yearly charge will be included in your DTE Energy statement. As long as you pay your DTE Energy bill in full, your coverage is maintained.
+
I received a letter or message saying I have an unpaid balance on my Plumbing Protection Plan account. I pay my DTE Energy bill every month. How can this be?
Payments made to DTE Energy go toward your utility portion first (electricity and gas), then toward any other DTE Energy products and services on your account. If you have not paid your bill in full each month, there is a chance that your Plumbing Protection Plan has gone unpaid. Please call 800.556.0011 to confirm and determine how much is owed. You can maintain your current coverage by paying the balance in full with a credit card by calling 800.556.0011.
+
Will enrollment in the Plumbing Protection Plan lower my utility rates?
Your regulated utility rates and the conditions of your utility service are not affected by enrollment in the Plumbing Protection Plan or by your decision to use the services of another plumbing service provider.
+
How do I cancel my Home Protection Plus® plumbing repair protection plan?
You may cancel your Plumbing Protection Plan contract without penalty up to 10 days after enrollment by calling 800.556.0011 or by sending an e-mail.
